Indianapolis, IN (on site) American Structurepoint is seeking a Team Leader to provide leadership, project oversight, and business unit management within the Civil Engineering Group. This role is responsible for guiding a team of professionals, managing complex projects, and driving client relationships to achieve revenue and growth objectives. The Team Leader serves as a senior-level leader who combines technical expertise with strong management skills—ensuring project quality, profitability, and team development.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 5+ staff members, providing direction and mentorship. Oversee and manage more than $1M in annual project revenue. Build and maintain client relationships, securing approximately $750K in annual revenue. Manage and lead a business unit, including staffing, resource allocation, and performance oversight. Perform final QA/QC reviews on complex civil engineering projects. Manage multi-discipline projects from concept through completion. Assist Group Leader with annual revenue forecasts and strategic planning. Participate in hiring interviews and staff development initiatives. Proactively communicate and coordinate internally and externally to ensure project success. Mentor Project Managers and delegate tasks effectively to ensure team efficiency. Support Group Leader with staff development and succession planning. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering and project management. Proven ability to lead teams and manage large-scale projects. Strong understanding of civil/site design principles and multi-discipline coordination. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
