Vice President of Construction (Design/Build)Commercial General ContractorOverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Construction to lead and scale their construction operations while serving as a strategic partner to clients. This executive will play a critical role in driving project excellence, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership & StrategyProvide strategic oversight of all construction operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and growth initiativesPartner with executive leadership on business planning, forecasting, and operational improvementsBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing project teams across multiple markets and project typesConstruction OversightOversee the full lifecycle of construction projects-from preconstruction through closeoutEnsure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsDrive consistency in processes, safety protocols, and performance metrics across all projectsIdentify and implement best practices to improve efficiency, cost control, and project deliveryClient Development & Relationship ManagementServe as a senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholdersDevelop and maintain long-term client relationships to drive repeat business and referralsCollaborate with business development teams in pursuits, presentations, and contract negotiationsRepresent the company in industry events, client meetings, and community engagementsPreconstruction & Estimating SupportPartner with preconstruction teams to ensure accurate budgeting, scheduling, and project planningProvide executive oversight on complex pursuits and high-profile projectsHelp shape project strategies that align with client goals and company capabilitiesFinancial & Operational ManagementOversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controlsMonitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as neededContribute to company-wide financial and operational decision-makingQualifications15+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction, with strong design/build experienceProven leadership experience overseeing multiple large-scale projects and teamsDemonstrated success in developing and maintaining client relationshipsStrong understanding of construction operations, preconstruction, and financial managementExperience working with commercial projects such as office, industrial, healthcare, retail, or mixed-useExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferredWhat Sets This Opportunity ApartLeadership role with direct impact on company growth and strategyCollaborative, entrepreneurial culture with strong leadership supportDiverse and high-profile commercial project portfolioOpportunity to build lasting client relationships and drive repeat businessCompetitive compensation package with performance-based incentivesIdeal Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate is a strategic builder and relationship-driven leader-someone who can seamlessly balance operational excellence with client engagement.
