Full Time Position Overview We're looking for an Engineering Quality Manager is responsible for leading the implementation and managementof the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company standards,procedures, contractual requirements, and industry regulations. This role involves planning and performing qualityaudits and assessments, managing quality teams, providing consultation to project teams, identifying opportunitiesfor improvement, and promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization. This position encompasses rolesequivalent to Quality Manager levels 1 and 2, with increasing levels of responsibility, expectations, and expertise. We are an innovative team of engineers and designers that supports projects throughout the company. Our staffleads and collaborates with Kiewit's module fabrication and construction teams to approach construction-drivenengineering with a focus on safe, cost effective, and innovative designs that achieve client expectations andfurther Kiewit's legacy of excellence. District Overview Kiewit Engineering Group is a full-service consulting and engineering district of Kiewit, delivering construction-focused engineering services for all phases of development. Our clients recognize us for providing safe, high-quality and constructible designs that yield certainty of outcome and outstanding value. Our staff's expertise spans all major engineering disciplines to serve transportation, power, water/wastewater, mining, building, and oil, gas and chemical markets. Location This position is based out of our Lenexa offices. Opportunities for flexibility are available. Responsibilities Lead the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on projects, ensuring alignment with ISO9000/9001 and company standards. Develop and maintain Project Quality Plans, address compliance gaps, and drive adoption of QMS practices. Conduct project quality audits and assessments, lead multi-assessor audits, and implement quality assuranceprocesses. Identify non-conformance trends, execute corrective actions, and foster continuous improvement. Build, manage, and mentor quality teams, setting clear expectations and providing feedback. Lead staff of up to 10, depending on project complexity, and train teams on quality systems and procedures. Ensure proactive risk identification and mitigation on projects, develop risk strategies, and escalate concernsto leadership when needed. Align quality initiatives with business objectives, drive strategic improvements, and contribute to overallorganizational goals. Oversee project and district-level documentation, analyze data to identify trends, and ensure accuratecorporate reporting. Engage clients and external partners, representing the company on quality matters, and foster relationshipsto achieve objectives. Communicate persuasively across organizational levels, collaborate to implement quality initiatives, andpromote continuous improvement. Anticipate and mediate conflicts, working to find common ground and resolve high-risk issues. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, address complex issues, and lead innovative solutions. Prioritize tasks, manage project quality activities, and handle complex workloads efficiently. Maintain relevant certifications, engage in professional growth, and advise on industry standards and codes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field. 10+ years of project quality experience. Strong engineering or technical background related to assigned responsibilities. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build relationships and collaborate across organizational levels. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational and time management skills Understanding of ISO Standards. Strategic thinking and initiative to drive improvements and align with business objectives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI. Experience with quality management software and database applications. Familiarity with data analysis tools and technologies supporting quality functions.
Relevant quality certifications preferred:
ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality andOrganizational Excellence, Six Sigma Green Belt, etc. #LI-FH1
