Reporting to executive leadership, this role will oversee all aspects of construction operations while supporting business development, preconstruction, project execution, and long-term market expansion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience within commercial construction, a strong understanding of project delivery and operational management, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams. This individual will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring successful project outcomes across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and oversight for construction operations, preconstruction, project delivery, and business development activities Drive operational excellence by implementing strategies that improve project performance, profitability, safety, and client satisfaction Lead and develop construction teams through recruitment, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and performance management Serve as a key leader within the regional market, fostering a collaborative culture and supporting organizational growth initiatives Oversee project portfolios to ensure successful execution from planning through completion Manage communication and coordination among internal teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for the regional office and project portfolio Evaluate project risks, pricing strategies, and contractual obligations to support informed business decisions Lead contract negotiations while protecting organizational business and legal interests Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain project objectives Promote a culture focused on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, design partners, trade partners, and industry stakeholders Support the adoption of innovative technologies and operational practices that enhance project delivery and competitiveness Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, market positioning, and growth opportunities Resolve complex operational, contractual, and project-related challenges through proactive leadership and effective decision-making Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within the commercial construction industry Proven success leading large construction teams and overseeing complex project portfolios Strong understanding of construction methods, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and project execution Experience within design-build, negotiated, or alternative project delivery environments Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, risk management, and commercial decision-making Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing operational budgets and project performance metrics Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through engaged leadership Proven ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with clients and industry partners Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities with a collaborative leadership approach Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and strategic initiatives Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and operational excellence Why Apply?
