In charge of hiring, training, and managing a team of engineers and checkers. Oversee multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Handling multiple commercial structural steel projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring deadlines are met. Supervise the structural design process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all contract documents, specifications, and building codes. Working with other departments, such as estimating, project management, and production, to support project goals. Implement and oversee quality control processes for engineering and detailing. Provide roadmap for growth of Engineering department to ensure future capacity. Manage project budgets and deadlines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Work with a team of detailers who will build fabrication models and drawings that will be used to fabricate steel members and parts that will be assembled in the field Requirements Degree in Engineering or Construction Science required Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred Minimum 5 years of management experience preferred Experience with
AISC, IBC, OSHA
codes preferred Experience in RISA 3D preferred Experience with Tekla Structures preferred General knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications preferred HME is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
