Project Engineer Job Description The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a related aviation field and 7-10 years of customer-facing experience. Strong program/project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential for this role. Responsibilities Lead the internal technical interface between engineering and the customer, either directly or through the sales account manager. Create, collect, consolidate, and summarize technical data to meet customer requirements and deliverables. Drive projects to meet company and engineering time, cost, and requirements targets. Serve as the gatekeeper for intellectual property in accordance with company policy. Support new sales efforts by reviewing proposal requirements and determining compliance. Work closely with engineering project managers and teams to assess status and represent progress to sales account managers and customers. Provide product-level expertise on functions, features, qualifications, and capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the proposal process to completion. Essential Skills ITAR Compliant Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Minimum 2 years of experience in a related aviation field 7-10 years of customer-facing experience Strong program/project management skills Understanding of or experience with electrical and electromechanical products Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of aviation certification and qualification topics Familiarity with aviation standards such as
RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, MILSTD-461
Work Environment The position is based on-site, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM as a direct employee. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging in a dynamic and interactive environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wichita, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00
