Scope of Responsibility:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplined design team—civil, electrical, and mechanical—supporting a high-mix manufacturing environment producing modular enclosures for the data center, fiber, telecom, and utility markets. This role is accountable for project delivery, engineering quality, team capability building, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, and Supply Chain. The ideal candidate combines strong technical breadth with hands-on leadership, enabling the team to deliver safe, reliable, cost-effective designs that improve throughput, quality, and sustainability.

Essential Duties:

Lead and develop a multi-discipline engineering team (civil, electrical, mechanical) through hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Own engineering execution from concept through design, manufacturing support, commissioning, and field deployment. Review and approve designs to ensure safety, code compliance, constructability, maintainability, and cost effectiveness. Maintain and enforce engineering standards, specifications, and documentation controls. Plan and manage engineering resources, schedules, budgets, and priorities across multiple projects. Partner with Sales, Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to align engineering with business needs. Lead design reviews, risk management, and change control across the project lifecycle. Integrate EHS and regulatory requirements into all designs and engineering changes. Support capital planning, cost estimating, and business case development for engineering initiatives. Drive standardization, digital engineering adoption, and continuous improvement. Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to leadership and key stakeholders.

Position Requirements :

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field required. Master's degree or MBA a plus. PE (Professional Engineer) or ability to obtain; PMP is a plus.

Experience:

Broad technical knowledge across civil/structural, electrical, and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC/NFPA, ASME, AISC/ACI/IBC, OSHA). Proven ability to lead teams and deliver complex engineering projects on time and on budget. Strong project planning, risk management, and decision-making skills. Experience with CAD tools and engineering document control; PLM/PDM exposure preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional travel to customer sites, suppliers, and project locations (approximately 10%). Regular presence in manufacturing and plant environments; PPE required.
