Job Description

Overview Rapiscan Systems, designs, manufactures and markets security and inspection systems worldwide. Our products are used to inspect baggage, cargo, people, vehicles and other objects for weapons, explosives, drugs and other contraband. Rapiscan Systems security and inspection devices can be found in a wide range of locations such as airports, border crossings, railway stations, sea ports and terminals, government and military installations and nuclear facilities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Andover, MA. This role is critical in ensuring that our products meet rigorous quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within a manufacturing or high-tech environment, with a passion for continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities Developing Work Instruction for Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection Training inspectors on Work Instructions, metrology tools, blueprints and schematics Leading the MRB process to ensure non-conforming material is controlled and appropriately dispositioned Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external quality issues Facilitate risk management activities including FMEA, fishbone diagrams, and reliability analysis Implement and maintain quality systems in compliance with ISO 9001, and other applicable standards including the collection of site metrics Support internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer audits Other duties as assigned Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork. Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct. It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial desired), or related field (Master's preferred) Minimum of 8 years of experience in Quality, Operations, and/or Engineering functions in complex manufacturing industries preferably with significant regulatory exposure In-depth knowledge of ISO9001 and audit experience Knowledge of
ISO14001
is desirable Experience supporting Incoming Inspection and Supplier Quality desirable Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify methods for evaluating complex issues with multiple variables using quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, DOE, etc.) Proficient in understanding and applying quality management systems (QMS), ERP systems, and statistical software Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence multi-disciplinary stakeholders ASQ certification (CQE, CQA), Six Sigma or Lean certification is desirable Please review our benefits here: Life at OSI The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
