Impact By:
Technical Responsibilities Lead component selection, qualification, and approval processes for new and existing products Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and other global regulations Manage component lifecycle, including obsolescence, alternates, and risk mitigation Drive failure analysis and root cause investigation for component-related issues Collaborate with design, sourcing, and quality teams during product development Maintain component databases, BOM validation, and technical documentation Managerial Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of global component engineers Allocate work, set priorities, and track team performance and deliverables Define and implement best practices, SOPs, and engineering processes Collaborate with stakeholders (R D, procurement, suppliers, quality) Support strategic decision-making for sourcing and supplier selection Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team
Skills You Bring:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 8+ years of experience in component engineering or related domain Prior experience managing or leading a team Strong knowledge of electronic/mechanical components and systems Familiarity with PLM tools, ERP systems, and component databases Expertise in component reliability, compliance, and lifecycle management Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred Skills Experience in high-reliability industries (automotive, aerospace, telecom, medical devices) Knowledge of global compliance regulations Exposure to supplier audits and qualification processes Experience with obsolescence tools (e.g., SiliconExpert, IHS, etc.) Key Competencies Leadership & team management Strategic thinking Cross-functional collaboration Risk management Attention to detail Globally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
