Job Description

Project Manager•Heavy Civil Construction A privately operated, growing contractor working across the New England region is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a mix of site development, environmental, and civil field projects. The role involves coordinating work across multiple locations, so applicants should be comfortable traveling and maintaining a proactive, team‑focused approach. Key Responsibilities Oversee overall project delivery, ensuring performance goals for safety, quality, timelines, budget management, and client expectations are consistently met. Track financial performance for assigned work, including contract administration, cost monitoring, invoicing, and preparation of periodic budget updates and status summaries. Work closely with field supervisors to allocate personnel and confirm that staffing levels match operational needs. Review and negotiate contract changes or adjustments with clients as necessary while ensuring accurate and timely billing. Provide guidance to engineering and field staff, helping resolve coordination challenges or project‑related issues. Manage claims or disputes with subcontractors, suppliers, or clients to achieve efficient and professional resolution. Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements, including insurance verification, labor standards, safety protocols, and quality expectations. Support professional development of project staff, encourage collaboration, and help maintain clear understanding of roles across the project team. Qualifications At least three years of supervisory or project management experience within construction or a related field.
