DESCRIPTION
The Engineering Manager leads the Engineering Department in translating customer requirements into efficient, scalable production execution. This role provides technical leadership across all aspects of Our Client's manufacturing processes and supports continuous improvement, product launch readiness, and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Oversee the development of robust manufacturing processes, including work instructions, tooling, and fixture design for CNC and assembly operations. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, supporting design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and product troubleshooting. Partner with the sales team to develop accurate labor and material cost estimates for complex electromechanical RFQs. Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) efforts related to technical production issues. Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure smooth transitions from customer RFQs to full-scale production. Drive process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to company growth, technology roadmaps, and long-term capital investment planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple customers and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of industry regulations, manufacturing best practices, and quality standards. Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD; experience with PDM is a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or design engineering environment, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
