Since 2015, the team has worked across diverse industries building everything from drones to kitchen equipment to consumer electronics. We're a small, highly collaborative group that values curiosity, initiative, good judgment, and people who make the work more enjoyable for everyone around them. We believe the role is most effective when performed on-site, where you'll work closely with engineers, participate in client meetings, help shape new business opportunities, and build the relationships that drive long-term growth. We are looking for a versatile, self-starter with 5+ years of experience to serve as the operational backbone of Alogus. This role is for someone who thrives on variety, moves seamlessly between "big picture" strategy and "in the weeds" execution, and brings a calm, positive presence to fast-moving projects and client conversations alike. You'll often be the connective tissue between teams, clients, and ideas—so adaptability, emotional intelligence, and a genuine enjoyment of working with people matter just as much as operational excellence. We do our best work with people who are collaborative, adaptable, curious, and comfortable navigating the ambiguity that comes with fast-moving product development. What You'll Be Doing You will wear many hats, often in the same afternoon. Your responsibilities fall into three main buckets:
Project Management:
Acting as the bridge between design and delivery. You'll track milestones for complex engineering projects, manage resources, and ensure things don't fall through the cracks.
Business Development & Client Relations:
Participating in high-level conversations with prospective clients and partners. You'll represent our technical capabilities, help scope new work, build trust, and contribute to relationships that turn into long-term collaborations.
Operations:
You'll spearhead operational excellence—managing everything from internal scheduling and PTO logistics to building the lightweight systems and workflows that keep a creative engineering team focused, aligned, and moving efficiently.
Team Operations & Resource Planning:
You'll play a key role in the day-to-day management of our team, coordinating staffing across projects, supporting hiring and onboarding efforts, and helping create an environment where people can do their best work. Who You Are 5+
Years of Experience:
You've spent time in technical environments, engineering firms, or startups.
Technically Fluent:
You don't need to be the lead engineer, but you can speak the language, understand project constraints, and translate technical jargon into business value. The "Fixer"
Mentality:
You see a bottleneck or a missing process and naturally move to solve it. No task is too small, and no project is too complex.
Exceptional Communicator:
You can write a tight project brief and lead a pitch meeting with equal confidence. You value clear communication, thoughtful documentation, and keeping everyone aligned.
High-Agency & Low-Ego:
You're comfortable jumping into whatever is needed, whether that's leading a client meeting, organizing a messy process, or helping the team recover from a chaotic week. You bring competence without ego and help create a positive, grounded working environment.
Bonus points experience with:
Consulting or client-facing technical work Manufacturing environments and production realities Early-stage product development and launches Fast-moving startups where people wear multiple hats Maker spaces and prototyping labs Product design, industrial design, or other creative experience that provides an appreciation for both the technical and human sides of product development
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Benefits:
