Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced roadway engineer in any of our Virginia, Maryland and DC office locations. Responsibilities include : Serve as a design lead for department of transportation and/or municipal transportation improvement projects Preparing/reviewing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway projects Preparing construction documents including stamping finalized plans for roadway projects Ensuring transportation group and Mead & Hunt policies and procedures are followed Preparing task and contract technical and price proposals Managing project and contracts deliverables, budget and schedules Leading business development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic region Other civil engineering projects in other locations as needed Some travel will be required. The successful candidate must have all of the following: A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university A minimum of twelve (12) years of industry related experience PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in Maryland within 6 months of hire The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: ORD Experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Salary Range:
$135,000 to $179,000 annually - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, or location.
