Job Description

HTL delivers industry-leading high-performance Electronic Warfare solutions which must reliably perform to enable customer s mission success. To fuel our continued growth, HTL is seeking a motivated Manufacturing leader to aid in scaling our high-mix, low/mid-volume production operations while continuously improving processes and quality of solutions delivered to our customers. The ideal candidate will have leadership and management experience in a dynamic setting with experience in high-density defense electronics manufacturing. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills coupled with a keen understanding of producing complex electronic systems. The Vice President of Manufacturing will work closely with Operations and Company leadership to develop near and long-term strategies to enable increased process efficiencies and capacity growth, while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.
Description:
This role will lead HTL s manufacturing team in tactical performance and strategic growth through process development and refinement, yield and efficiency improvements, and continuous improvement of team capabilities and processes in a low-to-medium volume, high-mix environment. The VP, Manufacturing, will directly lead Manufacturing and Supply Chain management functions at HTL and will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the manufacturing organization, develop and maintain production schedules and plans, monitoring day-to-day operations managed by the Director and Manager of Manufacturing, and providing strategic direction to enable meeting monthly and quarterly objectives. Lead the team to improve operational processes and systems to improve efficiency and increase production capacity, while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards Refine and monitor key metrics for day-to-day operations and enable team member s growth through cross-training and professional development to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. Develop strategies and implement process improvements to minimize costs and maximize output while adhering to quality and regulatory standards. Identify operational risks, means to mitigate these risks, and implement mitigations with Operations and Company leadership. Collaborate with Company leadership, program management, and Engineering team members to ensure Company objectives and internal and external stakeholder objectives are met.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor s degree in a related technical field. Strong operational skills backed by 5+ years of professional success leading a manufacturing team, preferably with an emphasis on defense electronics and PCA experience. Demonstrated experience driving operational excellence, process improvement initiatives, and strategic growth in a low/mid-volume, high mix production environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams. Proven experience in modern manufacturing operations (e.g. additive manufacturing, automated test) and workflows. Experience in leading teams through the entire product lifecycle form New Product Introduction (NPI), obsolescence of components, end of life, and field support/maintenance of RMAs. Experience with lean manufacturing principles, problem-solving best practices, and root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, Ishikawa, FMEA, etc.). Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to effectively collaborate and grow relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with ability to tactically and strategically plan operations workflows to meet customer and Company objectives.
Preferred:
Strong knowledge of aerospace, defense, or related electronics manufacturing and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with defense/aerospace quality standards and IPC standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721, IPC-2221). Experience in low volume, high-mix Software Defined Radio and peripheral systems production or related low-SWaP defense electronics environments. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Costpoint) for work order tracking and production support. Understanding of RF/microwave and electronics fundamental principles.
