Type:
full-time
Job Description:
At Graystone Group, we partner with companies building complex products, modernizing infrastructure, and scaling high-performing teams in fast-moving environments. Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager (Veteran Affairs) who operates at the intersection of technology, execution, and business strategy - someone who brings structure to ambiguity, drives momentum across teams, and quietly ensures critical initiatives actually get delivered. This is not a ticket-tracking or meeting-coordination role. This is a high-impact execution leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in environments where priorities evolve quickly, systems are still being built, and operational clarity becomes a competitive advantage. The Opportunity You will serve as the operational backbone across product, engineering, data, and business initiatives - transforming loosely defined ideas into organized execution plans and aligning stakeholders around delivery. The right person understands how to create structure without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy. You know how to balance process with speed, accountability with collaboration, and strategic thinking with day-to-day execution. You will work closely with technical and business leadership to ensure priorities remain aligned, dependencies are managed proactively, and teams stay focused on outcomes rather than noise. What You Will Do Turn ambiguous concepts into actionable project plans and execution frameworks Translate business priorities into technical delivery roadmaps Drive alignment across engineering, product, operations, and leadership teams Own timelines, dependencies, risk management, and execution flow Facilitate decision-making in environments where information may be incomplete Design lightweight operational processes that teams actually adopt Remove blockers and protect teams from unnecessary churn and scope creep Ensure stakeholders remain informed without overloading teams with meetings Create operational rhythm and accountability across cross-functional initiatives Bring clarity, sequencing, and structure to complex technical workstreams What Makes Someone Successful Here This environment rewards people who are proactive, thoughtful, and highly adaptable. You will thrive here if you: Think in systems rather than isolated tasks Stay calm and decisive in ambiguous or high-pressure situations Communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership Naturally identify dependencies, risks, and sequencing challenges early Care deeply about clarity, quality, and follow-through Can challenge assumptions constructively when something does not make sense Use process intentionally - not as a shield from ownership Take initiative and lead through influence, not title alone What You Bring Experience managing technical, product, or cross-functional delivery initiatives Strong understanding of project planning, execution management, and operational coordination Comfort partnering across engineering, product, data, and business teams Ability to simplify complex problems into structured, actionable plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational instincts and attention to detail A bias toward accountability, ownership, and execution Preferred Backgrounds Experience in any of the following environments is highly valued: Startup or high-growth organizations AI, platform, data, or systems-heavy products Enterprise modernization initiatives Technical consulting or digital transformation environments Cross-functional operational leadership roles Why This Role Stands Out This is not a maintenance-oriented PM role. This is an opportunity to help build the operational framework that enables teams to scale effectively.
You will influence:
how work gets prioritized how delivery gets measured how teams stay aligned how decisions get made how execution scales as the organization grows If you are someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, building operational rhythm, and helping high-performing teams execute at a higher level, this is the type of role where your impact will be visible across the organization.
