Pattern Engineering Manager 100% Onsite Ottawa County , Michigan $83,000 - $93,000
Overview:
We're hiring a hands-on Pattern Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for designing and manufacturing custom components and change parts for industrial equipment. This role combines leadership with active engineering contribution in a production-focused environment.
Must-Haves:
Minimum 3+ years in similar manufacturing engineering capacity Lead, mentor, and / or coaching of 3 to 5 direct reports Proficient in SolidWorks Strong ERP experience, ideally Syteline or similar
Nice-to-Haves:
Packaging industry Bachelor of Science in Engineering discipline (i.e., BSME)
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of engineers while remaining hands-on in design, production support, and day-to-day operations Drive daily production execution by managing schedules, assigning work, and ensuring on-time delivery across capital, aftermarket, and warranty projects Conduct design reviews and manage engineering changes within the ERP system to ensure accuracy and manufacturability Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, aftermarket, service teams, and leadership to resolve issues and support customer needs (including occasional field support) Monitor workflow, maintain documentation and inventory accuracy, and uphold a safe, efficient shop environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
