Engineering Manager - Advanced Manufacturing & Automation ($100K+) CNC Machining | Robotics (Fanuc) | High-Volume Production | Lean Leadership Position Overview We are seeking a proven Engineering Manager to lead and develop a high-performing engineering team within a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment . This role is responsible for overseeing engineering operations, supporting production, leading new program launches, and driving process improvement, automation, and lean initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing , along with the ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and make data-driven decisions that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Salary $100,000+ (based on experience) Competitive compensation for strong leadership candidates Schedule Full-time On-site Monday - Friday Additional hours as needed to support operations What You'll OwnEngineering Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of: Manufacturing Engineers Engineering Technicians Build a strong, accountable, and performance-driven engineering team Create and implement development and cross-training plans Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement Provide motivation and maintain morale within the engineering group Production & Automation Support Serve as the primary engineering leader supporting the manufacturing floor Provide support across: CNC machining operations automated machining cells robotic systems (Fanuc) Act as the first point of contact for engineering concerns from the production floor Ensure engineering support aligns with production goals for: uptime quality throughput Manage labor utilization and engineering resource allocation New Program Launch & Project Management Lead and manage all new product launch activities Develop detailed engineering plans, timelines, and execution strategies Oversee project implementation from concept through production Ensure successful integration into automated machining and assembly processes Track and maintain project timelines and deliverables Process Improvement & Lean Manufacturing Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing processes Implement and support Lean Manufacturing methodologies , including: process optimization waste reduction workflow improvements Improve efficiency within: automated machining cells CNC operations assembly processes Develop and standardize engineering processes, procedures, and best practices Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with: production leadership quality teams supply chain suppliers and contractors Participate in technical discussions to support production and design improvements Align engineering activities with overall plant and business objectives Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze production and engineering data to drive performance improvements Monitor key performance indicators including: cycle time scrap rates efficiency uptime Make consistent, rational decisions based on data and measurable results Qualifications Required Strong experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing engineering Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams Experience supporting CNC machining and/or automated manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills Preferred Experience with: Fanuc robotics and automation systems CNC machining operations (mills, lathes, multi-axis) Experience leading new program launches Background in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or tooling Experience in high-volume production environments Key Traits for Success Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a timeline-driven environment Customer-focused mindset Detail-oriented and highly organized Strong leadership presence and team-building ability Team-oriented and collaborative Leads with ethics, integrity, and accountability Ability to make consistent, data-driven decisions Physical Requirements Standing and walking for extended periods Bending, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, and pulling Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to wear required PPE Work Environment High-volume manufacturing environment with: CNC machines robotic automation systems material handling equipment Exposure to noise, temperature changes, and shop floor conditions Occasional outdoor exposure as needed Why This Role Stands Out Leadership role with direct impact on production performance and efficiency Opportunity to build and develop a high-performing engineering team Drive automation, lean initiatives, and process improvements High visibility role working cross-functionally across the organization Long-term growth potential within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
