Mechanical Engineering Manager

Under the general direction of senior leadership, the Mechanical Engineering Manager oversees the design, development, and execution of mechanical systems and solutions, with a strong emphasis on aggregate processing equipment and industrial applications. This role leads a team of engineers and designers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company standards for quality, safety, and innovation.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, including aggregate processing equipment, conveyors, and structural components Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and manufacturability Collaborate cross-functionally with production, fabrication, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and standards to optimize production and reduce lead times Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet business objectives Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including MIOSHA, OSHA, and MSHA Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise during project scoping and estimating Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required) 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Strong experience in aggregate industry equipment design (preferred) Proficiency in SolidWorks (required); AutoCAD experience preferred Experience with: Aggregate conveyor systems and material handling equipment Structural steel and weldment design Hopper and chute design, including material flow considerations Platforms, stairways, and safety systems in compliance with

MSHA/OSHA
