Join us and put your passion, determination, and skill to work building the future! #TheFutureIsBuiltHere #ChangeTheWorld BGS is seeking a Senior Business Operations Specialist who will design, coordinate, and scale initiatives that strengthen common skill areas, employee development, and cross-functional alignment across the BGS engineering population. This role partners with skill leaders to create practical tools that enable consistent career development and more effective support of our engineering communities. This position is based in Berkeley, Missouri but may also be located in one of the alternate locations: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma or Seattle, Washington.Position Responsibilities:
Partner with BGS skill leaders to define and prioritize common skill domain, competency frameworks and development goals Create and maintain forums (virtual and/or in-person) for skill leaders to present initiatives, share learned lessons, and coordinate cross-functional efforts Identify, evaluate, and help implement platforms and tools (learning management, mentoring/mentee matching, digital libraries, career-mapping tools) that enhance career development for individual contributors Produce templates, guides, and toolkits to help skill leaders deliver consistent development experiences (e.g., onboarding for new hires, competency checklists) Facilitate working sessions to surface common pain points and capture scalable solutions across skill populations Track and report program metrics and outcomes (participation, retention, training completion) and recommend improvements Act as a central point of contact to ensure consistent messaging and alignment between BGS skill leaders Champion continuous improvement and innovation; propose new ideas to drive commonality and increased effectiveness across BGS engineering skill leaders Develop and curate content for a monthly BGS Engineering newsletter that communicates relevant program updates, policies, training opportunities, and skill-leader initiatives Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field 8+ years of relevant experience in program coordination, talent development, or engineering workforce development, preferably within aerospace or a large engineering organization Experience working with technical leaders and cross-functional teams to design and implement development programs Experience with learning platforms, and career path frameworks Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience producing newsletters, training materials, and executive briefings Project management skills and experience tracking program metrics, driving outcomes, and managing multiple stakeholders Ability to influence without direct authority and to build strong working relationships across multiple skill leaders Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Prior experience within Boeing, Functional Chief Engineer, or BGS organizations Experience with common engineering tools and digital-engineering workflows Experience with mentoring programs, coaching, or formal instructor/facilitator roles Comfort with change management and adoption of new platformsConflict of Interest:
