Senior Engineering Manager Company:
The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Special Projects Dallas (SPD) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the multi-disciplined team of engineers responsible for structural design, production engineering, production improvements, shipside support, and affordability in Berkley, MO. This position reports to the SPD Chief Program Engineer. Position Responsibilities:
Provides engineering support to the AAS Special Mission Pod production contract and the SPD sustainment subcontract. Ensures that the team has the proper skills, tools, processes, and resources needed to execute Statement of Work tasks. Collaborates with the Production Operations, Quality, Supplier-Management, Business and Program-Management teams. Develops and maintains outstanding relationships with external customers is essential. Builds and sustains a high-performing team. Develops plans, supports proposals, and executes major cost reduction initiatives. Responds rapidly to emerging technical needs in the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) pod production factory and in the fleet is imperative. Excellent communication skills and ensures that external customers and executive leadership are well informed. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkley, MO. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.). 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects, transactions, or initiatives. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners. 5+ years of experience managing development programs from requirements definition through design, qualification, fielding, and support.
