project management experience, I want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations:
Lead, coach, and manage project teams to deliver high-quality work. Develop, establish, and administer procedures and systems related to team management. Prepare workload, sales forecasts, and team schedules for administrative and managerial functions.
Project Planning & Forecasting:
Work with Project Team Leads to thoroughly review proposals and contracts to ensure: Projects are managed in line with defined inclusions/exclusions. Additional services are identified and requested when necessary. Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and analyze progress on prospective projects. Maintain and update project and accounting information in company systems.
Client Relations & Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison with selected clients and major projects. Represent the company in meetings with clients and project stakeholders. Attend relevant association meetings and interact with local and state officials as required.
Mentorship & Training:
Mentor staff through all phases of the project/design process. Make recommendations to HR on training and development needs. Utilize leadership and motivation techniques to maximize team productivity and satisfaction.
Quality Assurance & Field Oversight:
Implement and champion programs to continually improve service, product quality, and internal systems. Engage all team members in quality initiatives to ensure effective quality control. Ensure adequate field review is conducted to verify adherence to contract documents and project standards.
Qualifications:
10+ years of Sheet Metal, Piping, MEP/HVAC, and construction Project Management experience. Proven leadership and team management abilities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills. Demonstrated project budgeting and cost control experience. Ability to promptly resolve team and project issues. Highly organized with exceptional prioritization skills and the ability to balance competing deadlines. Strong time management skills; consistently meets commitments accurately and on time.
Preferred:
Direct HVAC and/or MEP experience in commercial/industrial projects. Engineering license preferred (PE or equivalent).
