$145,000•$175,000 per year Job Details•What You'll Do In your first phase as
Director of Technical Accounts:
Serve as the primary technical bridge between key customers and internal engineering teams Engage with client engineering teams early in the design phase to influence product architecture Translate customer requirements into actionable specs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and help drive revenue growth Lead troubleshooting of critical technical issues during development and post-sales As you transition into
Director of Engineering:
Own and lead the cross-functional engineering organization: EE, firmware, ME, test, and PM Define and execute an engineering strategy that supports business growth and product excellence Recruit, develop, and retain top-tier engineering talent Lead technical reviews, set project priorities, and drive process and technology improvements Partner with executive leadership to align engineering capabilities with company strategy What You Bring 15+ years of engineering experience, primarily in hardware product development Deep expertise in electrical design and high-volume manufacturing; electro-mechanical systems (motors, motor control) a strong plus 5+ years in customer-facing roles: Technical Account Management, Field Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales — specifically within product development environments 5+ years leading engineering teams — hiring, coaching, performance management, resource planning Strong command of electronic hardware, circuits, and electrical systems design Exceptional communication skills; equally comfortable in a design review and a client boardroom Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field Nice to Have Background in consumer electronics, fitness equipment, or similar electro-mechanical products Experience designing products for manufacturing at volumes of 1,000-10,000 units annually Prior experience building or scaling an engineering team from the ground up A bit about us:•Our client is an established, growth-oriented product design and engineering firm specializing in advanced electro-mechanical and electronics solutions for leading consumer brands.
