Job Description

Since 1935, Schaeffer Electric has delivered high-quality electrical contracting services across the greater St. Louis metro area. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our capabilities to support larger, more complex projects while integrating new technologies to better serve our customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing electrical construction projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management Manage customer relationships from project kickoff through closeout Oversee subcontractor selection, scope alignment, and performance throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate with prefabrication teams to develop efficient installation strategies and drawings Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with project goals Develop and manage manpower plans to meet project timelines and budget requirements Lead coordination efforts with developers, municipalities, suppliers, and trade partners Project Coordination Collaborate with project teams to develop schedules, milestones, and execution plans Work closely with field leadership to ensure proper implementation and productivity Coordinate material procurement and delivery to support construction schedules Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders to ensure alignment and issue resolution Compliance & Documentation Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and overall project documentation Ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and specifications Support and report compliance with Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) requirements where applicable Review subcontract scopes and agreements to ensure clarity and completeness Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry Proven experience managing large-scale electrical construction projects Working knowledge of CAD and Revit Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and building codes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Experience with RFIs, submittals, and project documentation processes Ability to coordinate field operations and manpower planning Understanding of electrical design principles and material applications Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
