OZARK also provides full maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), including fuel accessories, machining, and welding capabilities, providing for expedited component repairs. The OEM and MRO businesses are co-located in our Springfield, MO facility. OZARK's primary MRO product lines include the T53 Engine, T53 Fuel Controls and Governors, and Rolls-Royce M250 Engine (specifically the C47, C30, and C20 models). As the
OEM, OZARK
is a full-service provider of new parts, MRO, and engineering services. OZARK is the respected leader of the T53 Engine, known for its overall MRO capabilities and high level of customer commitment. OZARK is committed to delivering high-quality products and services to our clients worldwide, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations and industry standards. To help us continue growing, we are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our highly skilled team. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The Project Engineer will have the responsibility to manage the daily workings of all assigned projects. The functions include working closely with OEM/MRO teams and external vendors to ensure projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Projects are varied in nature and include new product development, reverse engineering, and project management. It is expected that this position will be actively engaged in the following:
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Apply engineering knowledge in new product design and development as applied to new definitions and requirements. Develop 3D models and create detailed drawings and requirements that meet fit, form, and function of various engine components. Manage engineering project tasks by organizing and controlling specific project elements. Utilize project management tools to track and report on project details. Actively involved and hands-on with tasks, projects, and other duties as needed. Apply problem solving methods to pertinent issues as they arise. Develop test plans and support research and development projects for OEM and
MRO. KEY OBJECTIVES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project responsibilities include, but are not limited to, creating article solid models, drawings, designing test fixtures and full test setups, and article analysis. Manage daily activities of Engineering Projects. Provide timely updates on project performance and identify roadblocks to project completion. Interface with suppliers on technical questions and provide engineering guidance to support vendor fabrication of components. Prepare and brief leadership and key stakeholders on project performance, gaps, actions, and needs. Maintain concise communication, both verbal and written, within a multi-disciplinary group. Communicate professionally; build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
KEY SUCCESS ATTRIBUTES
Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities. Presents strong work ethic, analytical skills, a high level of accuracy, and is detail oriented. Quickly identifies problems, develops solutions, and can prioritize actions based on specific criteria. Strong time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office suite and SolidWorks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external interactions. Self manages day-to-day activities and tasks towards on time completion. Unequivocal commitment to the highest standards of personal and business ethics, code of conduct, and company policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE B.S.
in Engineering and/or equivalent proven work experience as a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineer or similar role. 3 to 10 years in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of aerospace systems, methodologies, and terminology is desired. A background in aviation; rotary wing or fixed wing services is strongly desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Product Development Management Software, and SolidWorks OTHER Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.
Working Conditions:
Will be exposed to office and shop environments. May sit or stand for several hours at a time and may require light lifting (less than 50 lbs.). Work environment includes MRO shop, clean line, and other operational areas.
Physical Demands:
The following demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary responsibilities of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, repetitive use of hands, may sit or stand for several hours at a time and long exposure to computer monitors. This position may require light lifting (less than 50 lbs.).
Position Type:
Full-time, Onsite, Mon-Fri 7:30a-4p (overtime may be required at times based on needs of the business). COMPENSATION
$80K-$110K. Salary range is dependent on level of experience, level of competence, or past performance.
