Apple's Wallet and Payments team is looking for a dynamic Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to help build services that millions of customers use every day. As an Engineering Project Manager on the Wallet and Payments team, you will help shape the roadmap and delivery of one of the most impactful services at Apple. Description As an Engineering Project Manager, you will be working directly with engineering teams to deliver large-scale, cross functional and cross-platform programs. You will be responsible for planning, execution, and reporting of associated projects. You will collaborate with other EPMs within the Wallet and Payment organization , as well as other groups within Apple. You will be responsible for running large scale data platform projects by identifying deliverables, managing risk and improving our processes while working towards successful outcomes. Responsibilities Lead end-to-end program management for large, multi-year data platform initiatives, working directly with engineering teams Lead all aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope and definition Lead multiple cross-functional projects by providing project leadership and daily management through project life cycle Partner closely with Data Engineering leads to define architectural direction and technical roadmaps involving batch/stream processing, orchestration, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. Identify inter-dependencies between the various partner groups to ensure all are aligned and risks are identified, mitigated and communicated Navigate and complete tasks in an environment of ambiguity and lead teams to the successful delivery of solutions Communicate program health, milestones, and risks to executives and cross-functional leadership. Minimum Qualifications Self-starter with 7+ years of strong experience in technical program management, engineering management, or a related field Strong experience managing programs in data engineering, data platforms, distributed systems or analytics infrastructure Understanding of the modern data stack: Data lakes, Batch /stream processing framework, Orchestration tools, Cloud platform, Data processing platform. Solid project management, organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through deadlines/projects simultaneously under minimal supervision Experience at prioritizing features, and building technical roadmaps Solid track record to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across various business units. Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities Strong analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills coupled with good business insight. Outstanding presentation, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization including external partners. Preferred Qualifications Experience in large-scale data platform modernization or migration programs. Experience implementing data governance, privacy, lineage, or catalog solutions.
