Senior Active Directory Engineer#26-06307 Charlotte, NC Onsite Contract Starts 6/28/2026 Ends 6/27/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Active Directory Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC and Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The Active Directory senior engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) environments. This role ensures secure, scalable, andpliant identity and access management across the organization by consulting onplex initiatives and resolving multifaceted security engineering challenges.

Responsibilities:

Deploy and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, group policies, and organizational units Deploy and manage 14 applications supporting Active Directory Update software and configurations to address vulnerabilities Lead troubleshooting and resolution ofplex AD issues, including authentication, replication, and access control Develop, update and enforce security standards for AD, including privileged access management and audit logging Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and application teams to integrate AD with enterprise systems and cloud platforms Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance for AD operations and best practices Participate inpliance reviews and risk assessments related to identity and access management Manage workload in Jira using Agile principles

Requirements:

5+ years of Information Security Engineering or Active Directory Engineering experience Extensive experience with Active Directory administration in large enterprise environments Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, and related technologies Proven ability to design and implement secure AD architectures Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred) Familiarity with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, andpliance requirements Experience with Domain Controller Virtualization, building, management, and administration Experience using Jira and working in an Agile environment Desired skills: Experience with Azure AD, hybrid identity solutions, and cloud integrations Experience with Microsoft HyperV Management Strongmunication and collaboration skills Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
