Charlotte | Knoxville | Nashville | Permanent The Role A well-established, employee-owned civil and environmental engineering consultancy is growing its Southeast Waste Management practice. We are looking for a Solid Waste / Landfill Engineering Project Manager to join one of three priority office locations. You will lead design, permitting and construction-phase services for solid waste disposal facilities covering MSW, CCR and industrial waste across both private and public/government clients. This is a genuine PM seat: you will own projects from proposal through delivery, not just execute on someone else's plan. Day-to-day, expect a mix of: Landfill system design (liners, leachate and stormwater infrastructure, gas collection, grading, site roadways) Airspace and earthwork volume calculations Permit applications, design reports, construction documents, specs and cost estimates CQA coordination during construction Client, contractor and regulatory agency liaison Mentoring and QC of junior staff work What They Are Looking For 5 to 15+ years of solid waste / landfill engineering experience (level dependent on background) Proven track record in design, permitting and CQA for waste disposal facilities PE license (or ability to obtain licensure in NC/TN) BS in Civil, Geotechnical or Environmental Engineering (MS preferred) Proficiency in Civil 3D and MS Office Business development and client management experience a strong plus The Package Competitive salary (indicative range approx. $100k to $150k+ depending on level and location) Employee-owned (ESOP) Matching 401(k) plus profit share and performance bonus Full benefits Interested?
