9B backlog is expanding its engineering leadership across its East Coast and Midwest data center operations . This role leads a team of BIM/VDC coordinators (team size scales with regional project load) and owns the full pre-construction and constructability engineering function on mission critical electrical projects — data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and large commercial. What you'll do Lead the engineering, BIM/VDC, and prefab coordination function on $50M+ electrical scopes Own constructability reviews, electrical calculations (load, voltage drop, short circuit), and system layout Run multi-discipline coordination and clash resolution with GCs, MEP partners, and trades Lead and grow a team of BIM/VDC coordinators — team size scales with regional project load Interface with project executives, PMs, and field leadership to drive prefab strategy and schedule certainty Ensure NEC, IBC, and IECC compliance across all engineering deliverables What you'll bring 7+ years electrical construction engineering experience (contractor-side preferred) Deep NEC expertise — this is non-negotiable Strong constructability background and prefab coordination experience Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, ACC Build, Navisworks, AutoCAD Proven team leadership — you've managed engineers or coordinators, not just projects Data center or mission critical sector experience strongly preferred PE licence or EIT a plus, not required Why this role $1.9B backlog = long-term project pipeline and career runway Direct reporting line to senior leadership with regional P&L visibility Top-tier client base ( hyperscale data center operators, Fortune 500 ) Genuine team leadership opportunity , not just a senior IC title Apply directly or reach Lewis Hanley at Ace Partners — lewis.hanley@acepartners.com — for a confidential conversation.
