- Full-time Build the Future of Custom Packaging We are a well-established and growing custom manufacturing company seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering function and drive innovation across product design, manufacturing processes, and technical development.
What You'll Do:
Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers responsible for custom packaging solutions. Oversee engineering activities supporting wood, foam, corrugated, and specialty packaging products. Drive new product development, manufacturing process improvements, and value engineering initiatives. Manage CAD/CAM standards, technical documentation, and engineering best practices. Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Executive Leadership to deliver innovative customer solutions. Evaluate manufacturing capabilities, tooling, equipment, and facility improvements to expand operational efficiency. Ensure designs meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards. Provide leadership in quality systems, continuous improvement initiatives, and problem-solving efforts. Develop and mentor engineering talent while helping build a high-performing technical organization. Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support business growth.We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has 8-10+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, packaging, industrial products, or a related technical environment. Has previous leadership or management experience developing engineering teams. Possesses strong CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) and familiarity with manufacturing processes. Understands cost analysis, design optimization, and value engineering principles. Can confidently communicate technical concepts to customers and cross-functional stakeholders. Thrives in a fast-paced environment where innovation and practical problem-solving are equally important. Enjoys improving systems, documentation, and engineering processes.Bonus Qualifications:
Experience in any of the following would be highly valued: Structural engineering or finite element analysis (FEA) Medical or aerospace packaging CNC programming or tooling design Quality management systems or continuous improvement programs Packaging science or protective packaging design Why Join Us?
