Job Description
The Engineering Project Manager - SMR Testing is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving execution of assigned test programs and related procurement activities within the Test Engineering organization for the SMR-300 program. Reporting within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, this role plays an important part in ensuring technical projects and supporting procurements are executed effectively within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. The Technical Project Manager - SMR Testing is expected to translate technical objectives into executable plans, maintain alignment across internal and external stakeholders, and support disciplined project execution in a highly regulated engineering environment. This role collaborates closely with reactor/system design, safety analysis, licensing, quality, procurement, and external partners to support successful delivery of engineering test activities. Initial assignments include an integral effects containment test program in support of transient analysis validation, coordination of vendor deliverables for an active test program, and a separate vibration analysis test program focused on reducing design and commercial risk.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Technical Project Manager - SMR Testing plans, coordinates, and executes assigned projects for the SMR-300 testing program, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and technical objectives
Supports procurement processes and contract management activities, including defining scopes, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs
Translates technical objectives into executable project plans, procurement scopes, and testing deliverable plans
Works closely with internal project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure assigned efforts are aligned and progressing effectively
Manages technical and programmatic interfaces with external laboratories, universities, vendors, consultants, and other partner organizations
Identifies project risks and develops mitigation strategies to support successful execution
Ensures project activities meet applicable industry standards, NRC regulations, and company quality requirements
Regularly communicates project status, risks, challenges, and scope changes to stakeholders and management
Addresses technical issues and project challenges, coordinating solutions to maintain progress and execution discipline
Supports coordination of vendor deliverables for active test programs, including tracking progress against milestones and escalating issues when needed
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively
Applicants must be eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline
Minimum of 5 years of technical program/project management experience in nuclear, energy, aerospace, industrial, mechanical, thermal-hydraulic testing, or other similar engineering environments
Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms
Experience managing hardware-based technical programs in a highly regulated or high-consequence engineering environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams and external organizations.
Experience managing technical vendors, supplier deliverables, procurements, or external engineering partners Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
Experience associated with design, construction, commissioning, or operations as it relates to thermal hydraulic testing
Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME Section III and VIII, ISO 9001, NQA-1, 10CFR50
Appendix B, and 10CFR21
Experience managing or supporting engineering test programs, design verification/validation efforts, or nuclear equipment/system development projects
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, workflow standardization, or automation solutions to improve project execution, reporting, scheduling, or cross-functional coordination.

Range- $145,000- $165,000 based on skills and experience Benefits:
