Key Purpose The Engineering Excellence Manager will lead and supervise the Operations & Maintenance Team while driving operational consistency, engineering excellence, and best-in-class facility performance. This leader will oversee maintenance activities, preventive maintenance programs, vendor coordination, safety compliance, operational documentation, and critical systems reliability. This role is essential in ensuring uninterrupted facility operations while fostering a culture centered around safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. What You'll Be Responsible For Operational Leadership Lead and supervise engineering and maintenance operations teams Drive preventive maintenance execution and work order completion Ensure all PMs and corrective maintenance activities are completed on schedule Maintain operational excellence across building systems and utility infrastructure Coordinate operational modifications including Lockout/Tagout and critical switching activities Engineering & Technical Oversight Maintain and manage Operations & Maintenance documentation libraries Review and maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for site operations Support capacity planning, reporting, and equipment evaluations Assist with contractor/vendor management and project coordination Oversee inventory management of spare parts, tools, and maintenance equipment Safety & Compliance Champion

standards and Safe Systems of Work Ensure contractor and vendor safety compliance while preserving critical operations Support emergency response and corrective maintenance activities on a 24/7 basis Ensure compliance with client, company, and governmental regulations Team Development Hire, coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action plans Foster a collaborative, resilient, and accountable team culture Success Looks Like High-performing and engaged maintenance teams Consistent completion of preventive maintenance and work orders Safe, compliant, and efficient operations Reduced downtime and operational delays Accurate maintenance reporting and documentation Exceptional client satisfaction and operational reliability What You Bring Required Experience 10+ years of technical services or facilities engineering experience 3+ years leading engineering operations as an Engineering Manager, Chief Engineer, or equivalent Experience in critical environments, integrated facilities management, or data centers preferred Strong experience with CMMS platforms and work order management systems Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and automation controls Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and operational KPIs Education & Certifications BS or AS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred Relevant technical licenses/certifications highly valued: OSHA Boiler Operator Refrigeration Plumbing Licensed Operating Engineer Leadership Competencies Business insight and operational decision-making Organizational agility and collaboration Strong communication and stakeholder management Ability to manage ambiguity and lead under pressure Commitment to accountability, resilience, and continuous improvement Why Join ISS?
