Job Description

ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Newark, NJ 07114 $1 an hour - Full-time $1 an hour - Full-time Project Manager Position at an Electrical Contracting Company S & J Electrical Contractors is growing and we are looking to add another Project Manager to join our team. We are looking for a professional individual who is seeking a long-term management position in the electrical services field with room for future growth opportunities. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-10 years of project management experience, running multiple projects from bid stage to completion. This is a position we are looking to fill quickly and would appreciate serious applicants only.
EXPERIENCE WITH PORT AUTHORITY WORK A PLUS - MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A PORT AUTHORITY ID
Duties:
Review plans and specifications for accuracy and completeness. Offer guidance regarding cost, constructability and integrity of materials, methods and systems. Recommend value engineering options. Develop scopes of work and coordinate with the Estimator in the preparation of Requests for Proposal. Review and analyze proposals. Negotiate with contractors, consultants, vendors and suppliers to obtain the most complete scope of work at the best price and schedule. Present recommendations regarding award of work to senior management and ownership. Review RFIs, submittals, change order requests and the like. Review and approve payment applications and invoices. Maintain all project files in paper and electronic form. Review, interpret and analyze critical path construction schedules. Perform construction monitoring to determine compliance with plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, industry standards, laws and regulations. Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships among co-workers, partners, clients, contractors, consultants, municipal officials, etc. Perform other tasks as assigned. From time-to-time support other operating groups and/or managers within the organization for special projects or special needs.
Requirements:
5+ years in a Project Management position Proficient in Microsoft applications i.e Excel, Office Strong written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail with emphasis on project budgeting Must be able to multitask and sufficiently manage multiple accounts at any given time Ability to mentor, supervise and promote company goals and goodwill.
