Chief Engineer

Supportive company culture - We ve Got Your Back. Major Duties Lead, schedule, and train a high-performing maintenance team. Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and developing maintenance associates. Oversee daily operations of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and brand compliance. Manage maintenance inventory and vendor coordination for timely repairs and projects. Maintain accurate records, preventative maintenance logs, and assist with capital project planning. Ensure curb appeal and upkeep of exterior areas including landscaping, parking lots, and pool. Support hotel operations and guest satisfaction through prompt response to maintenance needs. Enforce OSHA, safety, and brand standards; champion a culture of safety and teamwork. Be available for after-hours emergency calls as part of a rotating on-call schedule. Qualifications 2-4 years of hotel maintenance experience; 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair. Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety procedures, and preventive maintenance systems. Valid driver s license; ability to pass background check. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) required or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Preferred:

Technical certification or associate degree in a related field. Experience managing vendor relationships and capital improvement projects. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, or climb stairs for extended periods. Frequent use of ladders and tools requiring fine motor skills. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently; up to 140 lbs. with assistance. Perform tasks involving kneeling, reaching, bending, and twisting as required.
