THE JOB:
The Senior Manager, AI-Enabled Engineering leads and develops a high-performing engineering team that delivers scalable, secure, and reliable solutions through AI-augmented development practices. Partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders, this role drives predictable execution, advances AI-enabled engineering capabilities, and fosters a culture of technical excellence, operational rigor, and continuous improvement. THE DAY-TO-DAY
Lead the team in delivering sprint and quarterly commitments with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and predictable execution. Partner closely with Product Management and Design to drive roadmap planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery trade-off decisions. Foster a healthy, high-performing engineering culture by supporting team engagement, continuous learning, sustainable on-call practices, and proactive technical debt management. Establish and reinforce strong engineering practices across the team, including code review, testing strategy, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and operational excellence. Build AI fluency across the organization by enabling engineers to effectively leverage AI tools in daily workflows while applying critical judgment and oversight to AI-generated output. Evolve engineering performance and quality practices by leveraging AI-driven metrics, emphasizing architectural judgment, systems thinking, and AI-augmented problem solving over traditional output-based measures.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
2+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and talent development. 6+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong foundation in software delivery, engineering operations, and technical collaboration. Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent within fast-paced, evolving environments. Strong understanding of AI-aware estimation and delivery planning, including recognizing where AI significantly accelerates work and where impact is more limited. Ability to drive outcome-based engineering evaluation by emphasizing decision quality, architectural soundness, operational reliability, and defect prevention, while partnering effectively across Product Management, Design, and Quality Engineering.
