Job Description

We're working with a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Director of Structural Engineering to lead its Buffalo Office. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, people-focused business delivering impactful projects across New York State. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, strong technical capability, and ability to manage complex projects across the full lifecycle. Projects span education, healthcare, municipal, and public-sector developments, offering a strong pipeline of meaningful and technically engaging work. The Role You'll play a key leadership role in driving the growth and performance of the Structural/Civil division, overseeing both project delivery and business operations. This is a strategic and hands-on position where you'll lead teams, manage client relationships, and take responsibility for financial performance, resource planning, and business development, while ensuring high standards across all project work. What They're Looking For Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) Professional Engineer (PE)
  • New York State required 15+ years' experience in structural or civil/site design Proven experience leading teams and managing P&L performance Strong background across public-sector, healthcare, or education projects Experience working with agencies such as DASNY, OGS, or SUCF preferred Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills Why This Opportunity Stands Out Division leadership
