We are currently seeking a full-time Office Leader and Senior Project Manager for our Syracuse, NY office. This position will be responsible for the effective management and profitability of operations at the Syracuse office including sales, administration, project management, design, and select staff management. They will provide focused, accountable leadership, guidance, and support for all employees consistent with the firm's strategic plans while also identifying, evaluating, and developing priority business opportunities for the firm working within the Strategic and Marketing Plans. This is a 100% in-office position, with the potential for hybrid possibilities after establishing themselves within the office.
Duties:
Formulate and deliver business, marketing, and strategic plans for branch office to complement SWBR's firm objectives. Actively supervise, manage, and mentor Architectural staff within the branch office, including performance management, career development, and resource planning. They will regularly and customarily direct their work and ensure that the work meets the proper standards of quality and quantity. In collaboration with the COO and HR, makes decisions surrounding hiring, disciplinary action, overtime, changes in pay, terminations and to establish hiring needs, actively participating in candidate interview and evaluation processes. As workload dictates, contribute to the project management and/or production of active work within the region, depending on area of expertise. Proactive forecasting of administration, staffing, supply, and facility needs for the branch office for professional services. Supports sound professional services and working relationships with the firm's staff, clients and customers toward ethical, legal, and business practices that minimize the firm's legal liability and maximize the quality of service and profitability. Prepare service proposals, contracts, additional service requests, and other actions as needed. Actively participates in professional, technical, and client association organizations in local area; maintains networking contacts with those who influence services. Pursue viable business leads to obtain RFP's. 95% office setting, 5% active construction site visits. Individual may customarily travel to prospective client locations and some out-of-town travel may be required.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering is required along with either a current NYS Architect license or Professional Engineer license. Minimum of 10 years of previous experience working as an architect or engineer is required. Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a management or project management capacity within the Architecture/Engineering industry is required. Demonstrates an existing relationship-based network of people in branch's local area in the design, construction, and consulting businesses. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Prior experience with Deltek/VantagePoint is a plus. Individual will work in a normal office setting and may occasionally visit active construction sites, and must be physically able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and keyboard.
Base Salary Information:
$135,620
  • $167,850 The above salary ranges represent a good faith range for incumbents of these positions.
