Job Description:
•Relocation assistance available•Airline Support Manager (FAA-regulated role) What You'll Do Lead a team of engineers who design and approve aircraft repairs (structural, mechanical, electrical, and engines). Review damage reports and repair plans to make sure they meet all FAA and manufacturer rules. Stay up to date on FAA requirements and manufacturer updates, and ensure they are applied correctly. Act as the main point of contact between the company, the FAA, and customers. Help grow the business by supporting proposals, presentations, and partnerships. Train, mentor, and support engineers to help them succeed and improve performance. Set team goals and track performance to align with company objectives. Improve processes to make the engineering team and overall organization more efficient. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Experience managing projects or programs, including planning and strategy. At least 5 years of experience in airline, maintenance (MRO), or aircraft manufacturing engineering Experience working with the FAA or authorized representatives. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and organize workloads. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Familiar with AutoCAD or similar drafting software. Preferred Six Sigma or LEAN training, especially in aircraft maintenance environments. FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) certification. Advanced degree or additional training in business or engineering. Previous experience managing people or formal leadership training.
