Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Process Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing process development and optimization initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive continuous improvement efforts across our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficient, reliable, and high-quality production processes. Design, analyze, and optimize processes for operations, including laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and finishing.
Oversee all company capital expense projects. Serve as the single point of contact to plan, provide direction and coordinate all aspects of each project.
Responsible for the budget, schedule, implementation and performance of the entire project from cradle to grave.
Develop robust process flows and technical documentation to support production scalability and repeatability.
Lead technical projects from concept through implementation by defining project scope and technical specifications.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Provide day-to-day engineering support to the production floor, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure technical integrity.
Analyze bottlenecks and lead root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions with measurable impact.
Collaborate with design engineers to review part designs and drawings, ensuring they are optimized for processes.
Create and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and technical reports.
Research and propose new technologies, automation solutions, and capital equipment that align with company goals.
Ensure all processes and documentation adhere to internal standards and external regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA).
Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development.
Collaborating with other business units (to be determined).
Develop end-to-end testing strategies.
Define and track test metrics, including code coverage, quality, and performance.
Execute testing efforts by delivering application and component releases.
Coordinate and execute regression testing, test automation, performance testing, functionality, and usability testing.
Determine and meet timeline estimates and schedules for testing efforts.
Ensure all aspects of an operation or process meet specified regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including laser cutting, CNC punching, press brake forming, welding, and finishing.
Proficient user of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with automation integration (e.g., robotic welding, material handling systems).
Certification in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
