Aluminum Extrusion & Automotive Manufacturing Location:
Leetonia, Ohio (Relocation Available) About the Company A leading, growth-focused aluminum extrusion and fabrication manufacturer with advanced operations across the Midwest. The organization serves multiple industries with a strong and expanding footprint in automotive Tier 1 supply , supporting OEM programs including electric vehicle platforms. This flagship facility is a high-visibility site with modern equipment and significant planned investment, including vertical integration (cast house) and an R D center. The Opportunity We are seeking a General Manager to take full ownership of a flagship manufacturing facility producing complex aluminum extrusion and fabricated components for automotive customers. This is not a maintenance role - this is a build, stabilize, and scale leadership opportunity . You will drive operational excellence, lead Tier 1 program launches, and develop a high-performing leadership team while positioning the plant as a showcase operation. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of plant operations including production, engineering, quality, maintenance, EHS, and supply chain Own full P&L responsibility , driving profitability, cost control, and operational efficiency Lead and execute automotive program launches (Tier 1/OEM) with a focus on quality, timing, and customer satisfaction Build, mentor, and align a cross-functional leadership team; drive accountability and performance culture Establish operational discipline, metrics, and standard work to improve throughput and plant stability Partner with commercial teams to support growth, customer engagement, and new business opportunities Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, delivery, and cost Play a key role in long-term strategy including vertical integration and facility expansion What We're Looking For (MUST HAVE) 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience , including: 5+ years as a Plant Manager, General Manager, or equivalent Direct experience in aluminum extrusion is required Tier 1 Automotive supplier OR OEM environment experience is required Automotive industry experience : OR aluminum company supplying to automotive OEMs/Tier 1s Proven track record of launching automotive programs Strong understanding of high-volume, complex manufacturing environments Experience leading large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting Demonstrated ability to build teams, drive accountability, and improve culture Strong business acumen with experience managing P&L and plant metrics Preferred Experience with EV platforms or lightweight structural components Background in multi-customer, high-mix manufacturing environments Experience in turnaround, stabilization, or plant transformation initiatives Why This Role High visibility with executive leadership (including CEO exposure) Opportunity to build and transform a flagship operation Significant capital investment and growth roadmap Clear path to Director of Operations-level progression Leadership autonomy with strong organizational backing
