- www.vanguardenvl.com Executive Income (Combines Base Salary & Stipends) Tulsa-Based North American leader in "Regulatory Compliance Management" seeks talented, experienced Environmental Engineer or Environmental Manager / OSHA Education Specialist with passion for environmental protection, project management, and employee training with Vanguard's clientele throughout the U.S. Federal/State laws with stiff enforcement policies mandate annual compliance. Vanguard's EHS Professionals produce evidence-based compliance projects while client projects are sold by professional sales force throughout the U.S. Vanguard's engineering professionals do not sell. Business model does not feature "billable hours," as ethics is a core value of Vanguard. Orientation/Training provided by Vanguard's corporate and regional staff in a mentorship style. This Senior-level position emphasizes all aspects of Environmental, Health, Safety, and HazMat Compliance imposed upon industry by the U.S. EPA, OSHA, DOT, and Homeland Security, as well as state, county, and local regulatory agencies. Employee must already live in Tulsa Metro area. Vanguard does not provide relocation costs.
JOB FOCUS
  • Field projects include Air Permitting (Very Important Need), Stormwater / Wastewater Permitting, Toxic Release Inventory, RCRA HazWaste, SPCC Plans, Emissions Inventory Reporting, and onsite
OSHA/DOT
Employee Training (with GHS focus) on 22 Standards;
  • Ensure site-specific compliance with each client's environmental permitting, reporting, and employee training responsibilities through Vanguard's systems, technologies, and methods; This is an in-office job; not remote.
  • Travel within U.
S. required (One- and Two-day run-outs) - about 2 trips/month.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree (Environmental Engineering or Management, Environmental Science, or related field). Graduate degree and/or professional certifications are a definite advantage (i.e., CHMM, REM, CSP, Arc Flash 70E, etc.).
  • 5 or more years of experience performing Environmental, Health and Safety programs for clients operating in the U.S. manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations including air programs (Title V, Minor Source, etc.), Toxic Release Inventory, RCRA Hazardous Waste, Stormwater Runoff Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), SPCC Plans, HazMat Management & OSHA Standards for Industry…29 CFR 1910 (for onsite training).
  • Highly motivated, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical and analytical problems while interacting with clients in plain-English, interpersonal style.
  • Ability to manage time to complete tasks by compliance deadlines.
  • Strong oral/written skills with confidence to speak and train in workplace.
  • Ideal candidate would have environmental engineering credentials with capability to perform both environmental compliance projects and onsite OSHA training.

Monday - Friday…8 am. to 5 pm. - 2-Weeks Paid Vacation.
