Job Description
We are looking for an accomplished and forward-thinking construction leader to oversee and grow our construction operations. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with extensive experience managing large-scale residential projects, leading high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence. The Vice President of Construction and Operations will play a key role in shaping company strategy, improving processes, and ensuring successful project delivery across multiple markets. What You'll Do Lead and execute strategic initiatives that support company growth and operational success. Help build, mentor, and manage a strong team of project managers and superintendents. Partner with Project Coordinators to oversee architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout all project phases. Direct construction operations from planning through completion while maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental requirements. Review and manage project financials, including profit and loss performance, while identifying opportunities for improvement. Support business development efforts and cultivate strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners. Provide leadership and support to field teams to promote accountability, productivity, and workplace safety. Implement operational and process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with internal teams to align project execution with client expectations and company goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred. 10+ years of construction project management experience. Proven experience overseeing large-scale construction projects with budgets exceeding $20 million. Strong background in multifamily and residential home construction. Previous senior leadership experience within the construction industry. Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operations management, and business growth. Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing project profitability. Excellent leadership, communication, and team development abilities. Knowledge of process improvement practices and operational efficiency strategies. Results-driven mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality projects. Position Requirements Ability to travel regularly to project sites Comfortable working in both office and active construction site environments. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Must have reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement is provided.
