  • Full-time We are seeking a Chief Engineer to join our team at River Lodge & Cabins in Boardman, Oregon.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the property.
Essential Functions:
Supervise maintenance operations for the property, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, preventative maintenance, A\C and heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, switch rooms, exhaust systems, electrical, etc. Ensure all equipment at the property is in working order. Maintain appearance of exterior and interior of the building. Perform hiring, training, supervising, developing, disciplining, counseling and terminating of engineering staff. Prepare and conduct timely and accurate performance review with staff. Maintain a high standard of excellence throughout the property. Prioritize all work requests ensuring handling of guest problems, staff problems and property challenges. Maintain energy management system and provide feedback on how to operate more efficiently. Establish and implement preventative maintenance schedule. Communicate with the General Manager regarding all aspects of engineering. Ensure all guests are greeted. Monitor and control parts and labor expenditures. Maintain engineering checkbook. Maintain and order all parts, materials and supplies for the property. Maintain ongoing capital improvement file. Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics that inspire team members to meet and exceed standards. Administer outside engineering vendor contracts. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of three years' experience in building systems and maintenance. Previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance i.e., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. Knowledge of all codes as pertaining to building maintenance and health issues. Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
