Job Title:
Site/Civil Practice Leader Salary range: $140,000•$200,000, An established engineering firm is seeking a Site/Civil Practice Leader to join its collaborative team. This individual will serve a key role in leading and supporting design, permitting, and client management/development efforts for a variety of land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help grow a regional office and contribute directly to the overall expansion of the Site/Civil discipline. Job Responsibilities Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients Work closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization Lead staffing and hiring initiatives for the local office Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments; coach, train, and motivate Site/Civil staff Lead site/civil efforts on a variety of project sites, including design and oversight of site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control from concept through completion Lead stormwater management design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation Demonstrate experience in all aspects of land development engineering, including integration of geotechnical and environmental engineering Perform other duties as requested Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering 15+ years of relevant site/civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development across projects of varying size and complexity Professional Engineering (PE) license Proven experience in site/civil design including grading, drainage, infrastructure, and erosion and sediment control from concept through completion Strong client development and client management skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred Active participation in professional organizations Experience with technical and proposal writing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and decision-making abilities Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client meetings and site visits Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Water Resources
