Job Description
Principal / Lead Engineer Morgantown, PA Industrial Machinery Manufacturer $100,000 - $130,000 + Benefits As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex industrial machinery and automated manufacturing systems. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing, and customers to deliver innovative solutions while driving product performance, reliability, and standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of new machinery and equipment solutions. Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teams across multiple projects. Drive product innovation, performance improvements, and cost reduction initiatives. Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and customers to resolve complex technical challenges. Review engineering designs, specifications, calculations, and project deliverables. Support equipment commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and engineering best practices. Participate in strategic planning, product roadmaps, and long-term engineering initiatives. Interface with customers and suppliers to support technical requirements and project execution.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline. SolidWorks 8+ years of engineering experience within industrial machinery, automation, manufacturing equipment, or capital equipment environments. Proven experience leading complex engineering projects and mentoring engineering teams. Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, automation systems, and product development. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Experience working within highly regulated manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
