Job Description Summary Provides leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen in the day-to-day operations of the Design and Construction (D&C) Dept's corporate services, ensuring the Networks' consolidated facilities' design and construction support are driving value, while balancing workload and leadership priorities. Leads the development and execution of the Dept's long-term goals, driving continuous improvement, while allowing Network leadership to make informed, early value decisions. Job Duties Leads the day-to-day operations of the Design and Construction (D&C) Dept's corporate services, ensuring the Networks' consolidated facilities' planning, design and construction support are driving value, while balancing workload and leadership priorities. Manages the execution of the capital program through management of PDC project management staff. Ensure basis of design (BOD) and project scope, budget and schedule are clearly define and adhere to. Ensures proper staffing of workload utilizing centralized PDC staff resources as required. Assist PDC VP with policies, Standard Operating Procedures and best practices development and implementation. Assist PDC VP with staff training, performance review and feedback. Approves project financial transactions (budget approvals, commitments, invoices) through PDC's project management system. Ensures adherence to Jefferson policies and procedures and to all external regulatory requirements in the execution of capital projects. Working with senior leadership and the Campus Space Planner, develops project scope and project budgets in support of the annual capital budget and ISFP planning. Assist in the development and ensure implementation and maintenance of enterprise standards. Provides complete and accurate reports on capital projects progress and financials. Leads the development and execution of D&C Dept's long-term goals, driving continuous improvement to increase value and allow Network leadership to make informed, early value decisions on a project-by-project basis. Ensures all D&C support services are in compliance with all applicable local, state, federal, and accrediting agency regulations, as well as Internal Audit, Finance and contract procurement policies and procedures. Develops and maintains professional relationships with senior Network leadership and industry partners to lead the selection, development and ongoing facilitation of high performing project teams. Responsible for recruiting, hiring and developing new D&C colleagues, as well as ongoing training and professional development of current colleagues aligned with the Network's vision, mission and values. Performs other duties as assigned by Vice President, Planning, Design & Construction Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Architectural/Engineering/Construction (AEC)/Engineering field with demonstrated written and verbal skills. 15+ years experience in healthcare facility development and/or healthcare facility planning, design & construction industry. Excellent communication, both verbal and written, skills. Articulate, strong and fair in negotiation skills. Sensitive and confidential in dealing with confidential facility projects and affiliations. Knowledge of Building Codes and FGI Guidelines as well as healthcare planning Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills required. Additional Qualifications Physical Demands Lift over 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 140 lbs. Carry 80 lbs. short distances. Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead.
