Full-time Position Summary:
Leads the team, manages and supports overall Solid Dose Manufacturing and Packaging activities. Ensures the department priorities and daily production schedules are executed and analyzes opportunities for process improvements. Builds, develops and promotes communication and a team environment across all shifts. In this role, the incumbent champions Performance Excellence initiatives and associated change and actively coaches and mentors team.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Existing Facilities & Equipment:
Schedule the plant cleaning activities to maintain the cleanliness of labs, production areas, offices, bathrooms and other facility areas. Schedule special activities, such as painting, grounds maintenance, and snow/ice removal. Monitor overall cleaning schedule to ensure required cleaning such as quarterly and semi-annual activities are met. Schedule plant work (repair and preventive maintenance) to coordinate with productions schedules, lab and equipment usage. Manage the PM schedule for the plant. Manage the work order backlog. Assist in organizing and managing critical plant spare parts inventory. Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner. Ensure all activities are properly documented.New Facilities & Equipment:
Develop specifications for modifications to existing facilities and the construction of new facilities as needed to support plant expansions.Commissioning new facilities including:
Debugging facilities, equipment and systems Coordinating construction. Supervising installations Troubleshooting Supervising initial startup Evaluating equipment performance Ensure proper operator trainingQualification Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. o Trade-school or technical diploma or certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent experience strongly preferred. Five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in a chemical manufacturing environment with supervisory experience. CFM or CMMS certifications strongly preferred. Prior industrial chemical experience highly preferred with emphasis on FDA regulated environment. Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.Job Competencies:
Ability to interact effectively within all levels of the company. Personnel training and leadership. Self-starter with ability to adjust schedules in order to meet commitments. Excellent record-keeping and communication skills. General knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality systems (cGMP, OSHA, and EPA). Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.Physical Demands & Work Environment :

We are engaged in the business of pharmaceutical research and contract pharmaceutical manufacturing. As such, all staff work in or nearby either chemical/pharmaceutical research or chemical/pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processes. Potential limited exposure to hazardous chemicals. Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coats, gloves, specialized clothing including laboratory uniform and appropriate shoes may be required in areas associated with this position.Equal Employment Opportunity:
