Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to lead all maintenance and engineering operations for our 110-room Marriott property. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical assets, ensuring life safety compliance, supporting guest satisfaction, and leading preventative maintenance efforts. Key Responsibilities Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations. Manage preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, kitchen, laundry, and pool systems. Ensure compliance with Marriott standards, OSHA regulations, and local codes. Respond to maintenance requests and property emergencies. Lead, train, and develop team members. Manage vendors, contractors, and service agreements. Oversee departmental budgets and expense controls. Coordinate capital projects, renovations, and property improvement initiatives. Conduct regular property inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively. Participate as a member of the hotel leadership team. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hotel engineering or maintenance leadership experience. Previous Chief Engineer experience preferred. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems. Experience managing vendors, contractors, and renovation projects. Proven troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Marriott experience. EPA Certification and/or CPO Certification. Trade certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing. Experience with hotel renovations and capital projects.
