Job Description

Civil Project Manager - Land Development Our client is seeking a Civil Project Manager to join their growing team. This position reports directly to the VP of Land Development and is based out of their Rochester Hills office (with three metro Detroit locations available). Role Overview This is a highly client-facing position focused on land development projects across Southeast Michigan. The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects from initial planning through construction, while collaborating closely with both internal design teams and external clients. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase support Assist with permit applications and approvals Evaluate land use and zoning requirements Oversee design and drawing production for a variety of private, commercial, and K-12 projects Lead project management activities including scheduling, coordination, and execution Partner daily with internal design teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success Work Environment & Benefits Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote Competitive salaried position Employee ownership through AESOP (stock participation) Annual bonus potential based on both company and individual performance Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering 7+ years of civil land development experience Proven project management experience (3+ years preferred, but flexible) Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D PE license or ability to obtain within 6-12 months Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience Experience with K-12 projects Core Skill Set Civil Engineering Land/Site Development AutoCAD Civil 3D Project Management Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
