Full-Time Overview A highly respected, employee-owned design firm is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead its national engineering discipline, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low-voltage systems. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving technical excellence, operational performance, and team development across a diverse portfolio of projects that support healthcare, education, and research environments. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of national engineering operations, including staffing, project delivery, and financial performance Lead and develop Engineering Leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture Ensure consistent execution of project delivery standards to drive quality, client satisfaction, and profitability Align team capacity with project demand, optimizing utilization, revenue, and growth Partner with executive leadership to identify hiring needs and build a strong talent pipeline Mentor and develop staff, supporting career progression and organizational success Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license required 15+ years of experience in the A/E industry, including leadership of engineering teams or disciplines Strong business acumen with experience managing utilization, financial performance, and project delivery Proven ability to build, lead, and scale high-performing teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Collaborative leadership style with a strong sense of ownership Why Apply?
