Electrical to oversee a team of electrical engineers and designers.
This role combines people leadership, workload management, and hands‑on design responsibilities. The position is ideal for an experienced electrical engineering leader who excels in technical design, team development, and managing complex building projects across diverse market sectors. Manage workload distribution across the electrical engineering team
Lead electrical system design including lighting, power distribution, emergency generation, fire alarm, and security systems
Determine project scope and produce system layouts, calculations, and specifications
Train, mentor, and coach engineers and designers
Support recruiting, onboarding, and performance management processes
Coordinate BIM drawings with all disciplines across project phases
Perform construction administration duties: site observations, shop drawing review, punch lists
Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, project managers, code officials, and contractors
Monitor project scope, address variances, and ensure client satisfaction
Prepare technical documents, project manuals, and specifications
Support cost evaluations, design options, and technical decision‑making
Collaborate with leadership on personnel matters and team development Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum 7 years of experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
At least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design for commercial buildings (aviation, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, entertainment, or government preferred)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience with multiple project delivery methods (design‑build, design‑bid‑build, fast‑track, etc.)
Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes and regulations
Proficiency in Revit MEP required; familiarity with other engineering software is a plus
Strong computer skills (Microsoft O365, web applications)
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to prepare original specifications and full project manuals
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment configuration
Experience with cost comparison, estimating impacts, and value engineering Skills & Competencies
